All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Back to tractors, Does anyone know why the Amish use steel wheels on all their equipment?
I have herard 2 reasons

1. They do not beleive in using rubber.

2. They do not beleive in capturing air... which would make breathing kinda hard...

Jon, the Amish use steel because rubber is considered 'modern' to them.  The Pennsylvania Amish are now a bit upset because the state is considering requiring the buggy wheels to be rubber.  The road damage around here is getting pretty bad.  Are you going to keep those steel wheels?  We've had Amish offer's to buy them back if you're interested.   :)

SPECIAL BREAKING NEWS BULLETIN:

Cowboy Bob bought me a 1957 CASE 400!!!   8)
I'll be dragging a sled at the Antique Tractor Pulls this year!!!  I can't wait until the schedule comes out!
This tractor is identical to the one he sold that broke my heart.  I counted the days, and he went an entire ten days before he broke down and had to buy another tractor!!   :D
I wonder if my constant weeping had anything to do with it?   smiley_roller
