Hi all,  Some good reading here, just sitting back taking it all in.

I have some pine to dry, Its been air drying for about 5 to 6 months  inside of a unheated building, the last month it's been inside a heated garage. My garage has a big enough attic  to put the wood in, If I had fans in the ends of it would it work to dry the wood and  is there a bad side to this? The wood is at about 10 to16% moisture.

Thanks.

Simple answer, yes that will work.

As you have already got the pine air dried you can store / dry it basically anyplace dry and it will settle to whatever moisture content the conditions dictate. Fans are probably not necessary as you aren't going to be moving a lot of water, it's probably only going to dry a few percent more over the next month or so.

Be aware that the pitch wont be set in the air dried wood, this could be a problem in some applications as it can foul up the final finish if the wood ever gets hot.

Apart from that it sounds like you have got a pile of good air dried pine.

oh...  And welcome to the forum  :)
