My Stihl 032 super chainsaw will start and run on 1or 2 pulls when cold but after a few minutes of running will quit dead and not restart until a day has passed!  I have put in a new spark plug with the same results. The gas is fresh and the plug is not fouled when I pull it out. During the dead period I get little or no spark when I spin it to check. This saw has an electronic ignition module. Do these units gradually fail? I thought they just quit and were done.  Any help?

The normal spark with the electronic ignitions is quite faint, but very hot.  If you want to really know what it is doing, get a spark indicator that uses a neon tube to give you a brighter flash.  If you done't have spark when it dies, then you will know that you need a new ignition module.
I eat a high-fiber diet.  Lots of sawdust!

Defective switch or wiring could be another cause too but more than likely the module.
