Hi guys

It's been a while since I've posted here but I have done a lot of lurking and reading .

My Kohler sawmill motor starter seems to be getting a little " lazy" .

It's a 29 year old machine so I guess that is to be expected.

Finally got my %^_@ together and got the mill finished, and started cutting. Played around on a too-short piece of pine, then threw this poplar on. To think I almost made it into firewood!





I've got 2 more logs from this same tree (this was the smallest of them). I think I might get some more practice

Ez Boardwalk model 40 runs 11/4" blades. I tried 11/2" and was very pleased with the results. I'm considering using only 11/2" blades in the future. My question is do I need to change roller guides to 11/2"? If I continue to run the smaller guides am I causing damage that will show up in the future?...
