Title: Live edge cedar table

I finished my dad's cedar table today the top is bookmatched erc base is bookmatched as well the stretcher tenons through the ends and a husk tenon holds everything tight.

Wow, that is a keeper for sure.  Nice layout and your Dad will be a Happy Man.   :)

Very nice table.  Cedar is the one wood I have never been able to find since I started sawing.  Certainly not that size of log.  Is there much sap to deal with on cedar?  It is always seeping when I cut pine.

The log the top was cut from was about 24 in diameter and cedar usally has lots of defects /character. Freshly cut cedar will have sticky sap but not like pine it's a joy to cut on the sawmill

Beautiful table, and old school style angled boards on the studs (my house built in 1947 is like that). Nice stuff.
