Title: prentice 384 help
Post by: Sawyerfortyish on October 08, 2017, 08:22:21 AM
We just bought a Prentice 384 log loader. We need to add hydraulic oil and there is no fill hole on the tank. How do u get oil into it. It looks like there is a line with a quick coupler and shut off going to a main hydraulic line. Do I have to pump oil in?

As you go up the steps from the subframe to loader platform,. There should be a pump on left between the steps and main boom.   Run the hose into the oil bucket and pump it in.   That loader has Kawasaki piston pumps that are sensitive to contamination , pumping the oil in through the filter reduces contamination risk from opening the system.
