Title: Trim for the door
Post by: rjwoelk on September 17, 2017, 11:10:08 PM
We added on to the house a leanto woodshed. There was a window in the wall which we removed and put in a door. Due to electrical wire under the window it now got routed to the top of the door and so 2 juction boxes were needed so that is what the white plates are covering.
That all said. I had some nice rough western red cedar . From a length of untreated hydro pole. I planed down and oiled with minwas tung oil. 6 inches wide.

I like it.
I'm doing something similar but I run a 45 on the outside edge and a 3/4" dado down the center. Makes my wife happy, but as long as it's taking for me to get any trim up I may be able to get her down to just plain lumber in another year or so
