Title: .338 caliber
Post by: uplander on May 03, 2017, 08:31:20 AM
Well friends the reloading supply's giveaway continues. In the box of supplies given me are 100-150, .338 caliber bullets. mostly 275 grains in weight. Just looking at them makes my shoulder hurt! They should run great in any magnum .338. I think they are sierra manufacture. Soft point's, flat base.

I will give them away to the first forum member that loads this caliber and reply's in this thread that they would like them. Continental U.S. only.

That .338 can be a real thumper!

I actually had two of them back when I was stationed in Alaska.

I have a .375 and it brings tears to your eyes off the bench---No so bad when you are in the field.

A friend of mine shot a bear 2 years ago with a .35 rem.
looked for it for 2 hours and couldn't find it.
We found it just before dark.
Last year he shot one with his .338 win mag.
It didn't go 2 steps.
Had no trouble finding that one.  :D
It kicks like a mule. But no more searching thru the thick brush for a wounded bear.
