Two videos, one using a chainsaw as a trencher to bury the wires for a robotic mower, and one with the mower running around, doing it's job.
Normally it isn't necessary to bury the wires, we usually just peg them to the lawn, and the grass will cover them in a few weeks, but the grass isn't growing too well in my sandy soil. More sand and gravel than actual soil!

The mower wanted to drive over to the driveway, where the car was parked, and I didn't want to have the car scratched, so I had to use my foot to persuade it to go elsewhere.
We tried selling trenching chain but it didn't go well, too hard on the saw and the operator.

I don't know how hard it is on the operator, but it isn't kind to the saw - didn't know it was possible to stuff that much sand and gravel into one little saw. I had to dismantle, clean and oil brake, clutch and starter.
My brother was thinking of buying a Terra Trencher that uses a Stihl MS461 powerhead.
Sawguy21, is the soil accumulation as bad as you described? Would it damage the powerhead?
