I have 4 alders to mill and I was going to just flat saw but wasn't sure if that was the best method?
Yes, flat saw. Also I move my stickers every two weeks for the first two months to prevent sticker stain. Rob
I've had good luck with it. It dosent seem to move too much and its nice to work with.
It spalt's nicely also.
It helps to have decent size logs that are reasonably straight.
I got some nice 12 inch boards out of a couple last year.
