Yesterday I saw a guy at the Golden Corral who had on a Woodmizer jacket (100,000 club) so I struck up a conversation with him. Told him I had an LT30 and he said his is an LT45--something I have never heard of. Turns out he is living in Preston, ID (close to Utah's north border) but his mill is in Challis, ID. He is 75 and totally burned out. Wants to sell his mill--sounded to me like there is a potential for a deal for a westerner looking for a Woodmizer. That's all I know, except he was a Justice of the Peace in Challis. I invited him to join the Forum.
What's the story on LT45s? It must have had a short history.
they were contract built by Colt...
My guess is either an lt50 missing some parts or a Texan with an lt40. Bwah ha ha ha :D
Good one Jake, made me laugh !
I think Zopi and Jake are both right ;)
Never heard of one, and I've been perusing all our old catalogs doing some research for a few weeks now...
Mooney,
I visited Indy once and there was a mill in the wood products side of the yard going through R&D. It had two bandsaw blades that were stacked so it could saw two boards at once. Do you know what they called that mill? I can't remember for the life of me....
Logdog... That was supposed to be a secret! :-X
No, just kiddin' :D I'll have to check on that. You sure it was a mill and not a resaw? Or our 'twin vertical' industrial saw? http://www.woodmizer.com/us/IndustrialEquipment/SmallLogProcessing/TwinVerticalSawTVS.aspx
R&D's always cooking up new ideas, so I'll try to check with them next week...

Now that is on-the-mark funny, I don't care who you are (as long as you are not from Texas) :D :D.

Yep it was orange. I want to say they may have been designing it for Poland at the time though. Neat concept .....
yup. lots of things are specially designed for poland,
I believe the 2 story outhouse is another.

You guys are going to have to move to the "Jokes and internet fun stuff" thread :D
They are starting to make it difficult to drink my coffee. ;D
I also love to smile. It is so interesting to see where the mind can travel to sometimes. smiley_thumbsup
With all the mods we've made to our LT40, maybe I can call it a LT42-1/2?
Ya just need ta practice your aim a bit there pilgrim. smiley_thumbsup
If it wasn't for humor, life wouldn't be worth living, IMO. I love a good laugh. As for Texas, I was telling my Texan BIL that the Alaska legislature voted to split their state in half, just so Texas would have to be third biggest ;D He didn't seem to think it was as funny as I did.
ya know if you get a speeding ticket in Dallas they make you go to a home game...
get two...they make you a running back.
