I purchased a Hawkins used two years ago to replace a generic stove I was using called a Timber Wolf.  I wanted to upgrade and thought I could get more years from the Hawkins.  It is a good solid stove but it is no more efficient then the generic timber wolf.  To me it was a waste of money.  That's my experience with the stove.
