Do you have to cut the stumps down or are they left as is?
Are the felled trees run through a grinder?
Impressive, can't say i'd want the payments on that truck though :)
Those certainly were not the first trees that they had ever taken down. ;D
G'Day guys
Just finished the next ACE Tree video, Crane Hook Cam! fly_smiley

Awesome stuff, keep them coming. It would have been neat to see the before picture from the ground angle to see how close it was to the building and maybe a side angle time lapse of it coming down. Just a thought.
Nice Helmet Cam too. There is a place in Australia that makes a pair of sunglasses with a cam in the nose bridge. Might be interesting to see from that point of view instead of the helmet cam... http://www.imging.com.au/ (http://www.imging.com.au/)
Pretty sad for some of us to see them cutting those nice logs into firewood at the end. At first I thought the log was too heavy for your crane. smiley_speechless
Ace does some neat work...I have learned alot watching their vids...of course, I do not make vids...less evidence. lol

Those "bird's eye" views are awesome. Thanks. :)
Your vids are the best, great filming, editing, choice of music. Do you use the GoPro cameras? Because your videos would fit right in on the GoPro Channel

Hi forest friends,
The years seem to be going quicker and quicker every year, i don't get much forum reading time as i would like these days, due to family, work, work, work and work you know what i mean. Anyway over christmas i was back at editing some of the jobs we did over 2014, it was a big year for the whole Crew and to go back and see what we achieved was a surprise and then you start to appreciate the magnificent environment which we work in everyday. Hope you enjoy these video's below.

QuoteWhat kind of trees are these
Not sure of the exact species, but some kind of Eucalyptus. (There are hundreds of different species, and they can be hard to tell apart)
Most of the tree removals are eucalyptus regnans, common name is Mountain Ash Gum Tree.
