I was talking about spalting on another post, and you were interested.....I have a new pic....the cabinet is of birdseye maple, and the door panels are of splalted yellow birch. All of the wood is sound. Made in '88, and was soaked in a fire, re-glued, and re-oiled with Watco.
That is simply gorgeous! I just may have to get into wood working - and I don't mean plywood and 2x4's!
That is just lovely- I take it the spalting is the dark vertical marking like stain? Doesn't it just make you wish you could work that at will to happen- and in various colors? Talk about the artist's palette.. LW
