Fuel additives, top cylinder oil
« on: October 28, 2004, 09:30:01 pm »
Is there anything special for chainsaws to add to the gas/oil mix to keep varnish from building.. I know about the typical stuff you can add to gas (Stabil) but not sure that prevent gumming or helps to keep the carb clean. I have some cylinder top oil I put in the carb and on top of the piston for my "toy" RC engines 2 cycle also. This oil keeps the engines from getting gummed when not in use, but they run nitro so not sure if it would work. Is there something special that anyone knows of specific for gas/oil 2 cycles. Sure the RC top oil would be fine since its made for very small engines shouldn't clog anything. Any thoughts?
