So. Vermont, Northern Mass. Logger Wanted
« on: December 14, 2015, 08:13:08 am »
I am looking for a mechanized crew to cut about 175MBF of spruce fir this winter. There will also be about 1000 tons (about 400 cords) of hardwood pulp to cut. The property is in Vermont about 35 miles west of Brattleboro. I have arranged trucking to the Canadian mills that are paying real well right now for spruce/fir. The landing is ready, just needs some cold weather, and is located about 1500' from pavement.

A crew with a feller, grapple, stroke delimber, or even a pull through delimber, and loader/slasher could knock this out in 4-6 weeks. The furthest skid is about 1/2 mile. There is a wide stream to cross and a set of 16-18' panels would work well.

The cut will be laid out in patches, with some thinning in between. It will all be marked in ribbon or paint. This is a real nice lot, just haven't been able to find anyone in this area to do the job. PM for more details and contact info.
