Major Daylight
« on: June 19, 2004, 06:14:04 am »
Its 5AM as I type this and it has been daylight for an hour. Last night the wife and I went for a bike ride at 10 pm and we didnt need to worry about getting hit by cars cause it was still light out. The sky looked like it was on fire for about an hour. Its only dark for about 5 hours at most and on clear nights the mountains to the north are siloetted(sp) by a dark blue sky. Just beautiful. Im gonna try and get a few pics on the elcrapo digicam tonoght and post em. The reason Im up is Warren and I are gonna go cut a couple thou and beat the heat.(quittin at noon...yup.) We had 34c yesterday and today is supposed to be hotter. I know thats a woosey temp for you southern Yanks but we dont get that hot that often ;D ;D

Ooh- you're out near the coast. Bet you don't have to cut as many trees to get your 'couple thou'. Take pix of the trees too..how bloodthirsty are your mosquitos right about now?  lw

I know what ya mean Percy, when we worked up in the Nass there was about 4 hrs dark then at 4 am some arse was always startin up their desiel truck, and they never left the DanG yard before 5:30 am ...sigh. We were always ready to ride the chopper at 6:30 am after spending half the night computing deflections for road and yarding layout for the next day. Hmm work'n 14 hrs and gettin paid for 8, my kinda job, NOT!! ;)

Pre-commercial thinning pays off. :)
