Saterday Sawing
« on: May 09, 2004, 02:16:53 pm »
Saterday at Jr's we cut up a osage orange log i had. First
we had trouble gitting a stright cut, blade wanted to dip at
the end of the log. Found a knot, real had one so we turned
the log 180degs. Then we for got to tighen the guide adjuster
bar and the blade slid off the wheels. It when behine the
wheel, boy was that a mess to git out. New blade and back
to cutting. Made two light cut to strighen up the log, now I
have some osage veneer pices. The rest of the cutting when
ok and we made 120 BF from that log. After Lunch JR showed
me how he takes down a tree, Have a photo of him and a
heage tree he is removing. Also have some photos of the
mill and the lumber we cut up.

Ah, I see you prefer controlled directional felling.  ;D
I eat a high-fiber diet.  Lots of sawdust!

There was a 5th wheel travel trailer sitting on the outer side
of the case. Jr didn't want it to fall on it,

I guess I have a few more years to accumulate all those toys.

Wish I could have been there, but Saturday was my B-day and the wife made me go shopping.  That was fair.  Somehow, going out in the woods on Mother's Day wasn't.  Go figure.  And then it rained...again.
So many trees, so little money, even less time.
