Seriously, doesn't that stuff come into style every so often, especially after a Pine Beetle infestation which produces so much stained wood?  A good marketer gets the fad going for a while (at least until the bugwood is finally cut), and all the remodlers and homebuilders put in blue paneling and blue tounge and groove, etc. ??? ;)

I know what blued pine is. Tree surgens cut them down all the time or if left sitting to around here you'll get plenty of it but never seen a market for it.

It's my understanding that the term "Denim Pine" is trademarked by an association in Canada for their own bug killed stuff.
