The Renfrew County Small Sawmill Association has been invited to the Nick at Night show on CFRA Radio Saturday March 27th at 8:00pm.

I've posted the link if you folks are interested (and you really should be...) and would like to listen.

Air time and gallons of ink...

There was a protest on Parliment Hill last thursday. The samill scrap with the MOE was only a part of it. The protest was organized by the Lanark Landowner's Associaition, Renfrew County Small Sawmill Association and Renfrew County Private Landowner's Assocaition. The one common thread between us (RCSSA) and the landowner's associations is the lack of constitutionally gauranteed property rights in Canada. There were over 3,000 people there, mostly to make their point, a few out of curiousity. There were attendees from across the province.

My gallowes made national news... I'm particularily proud of that...

Tim:

I feel for the lot of ya. My folks were farmers too, retired now. They are glad to be all through with it. Some stunts the government pulls on farmers makes you think your being governed by dictators who don't seem to be accountable to anyone. They think their election gives them the license to do as they wish. Not very democratic at all. The problem has always been that the farmers are a small percentage of the votes and the general public have no clue what is taking place with farmers and governement policies. We have seen that the government is more willing to invite farmers from another country and take over farms run buy several generations of Canadians, than they are to help your own sons and daughters. Some day there will be changes.

The bureaucracy in both the States and Canada is ridiculous, Why is it that, when you hand a bureaucrat what seems to be a good idea, the moron runs the point to the extreme end of the spectrum. It's impossible to write perfect laws. Interpretation is the key. Everybody who enforces the laws has to know where to draw the line. We need to start by kicking the spineless to their deserved jobs at McDonald's.
