We own an rbi 20" planer/moulder and was wondering if an Wadken profile grinder would work to grind knives for it?
It is on the irs auction site.

stump_jumper, If you are going to grind the long planer knives, it won't work. If you are grinding profile knives they would have to be the slotted type. If yours are held in place with a gib then you would have to change the holder for the knives.

Thank you Lanny for your response.
I am not going to sharpen the planer knives just the moulder profile knives.
Here are some pictures of our set up. They are the gib style with counter weights.
Please tell me more about the slotted type. If you have a picture can you post it so I can see what it looks like.
