   Well now, I don't know about all that. Population growth, now. Have you, or have you not, seen urban sprawl just explode in your neighborhood? What has happened to the population in your home town? Anybody seen any MORE hunting areas come available- or the population go DOWN? I doubt it.

  I am about the only person around that has the number of acres I've managed to hold onto in my town. It's scary.

  I see real, genuine concerns that evidently Mr. Crichton does not. And perhaps some of you don't either.

Subdivisions can be elegantly landscaped. Those new houses cost an arm and a leg. And that's an awful lot of mouths to feed. They may be making money, but they are not raising food.  lw

The last self proclaimed environmentalist I delt with would sit in the path of every tree we were felling did this for the best part of 2 days untill three of us told him he better be careful he didn't accidently" trip off that cliff "  we were working by. Soon after he left the job. I think he got the message.
LW I hear ya about farms being split up for houses this week alone two adjoining farms were bought up by devolopers going to split them up into " mini farms" 200 acre farms being broke up into 7 acre so called farms. I don't like what I see happening around me

The population figures are worldwide figures. Just because the figures are going down worldwide, don't mean that the U.S.'s population is stalling or falling.
