DanG,
There's an story told in Pittsburgh about Iron Mike Webster, long-time center for the Steelers back in the 70's. Mike had rapidly thinning hair. Some feller comes up to him, wanting to give him a hard time. He makes a comment about Mike's lack of hair, to which Mike answered, " If you want to use your hormones to grow hair, that's your choice."

Cows- been watching April, the mystery cow. Last night it got down to 2* and i checked her 3x- didn't want to find a calf frozen to the ground. Checked her at dark tonight- she hadn't come up for grain, and if April doesn't come to the dinner bell, you know something's up. She wasn't hanging where i'd seen her in the last 3 days, but when i called her she answered me back from down toward the swamp. As I got closer to her I could hear her humming that special calf hum. Sure enough, she'd had a healthy bull calf- already dried off and standing up, but shivering a little. So I went back and got Mike (it's really his cow), and had him assist. We pitched the little guy into the sled and I drug him along (he went kinda dry where there was no snow on the ground, and Mike did the feed bucket thing with April. she only lost her mind 2x and tried to go back to where we started- the flashlights confused her. We got em in the barn and closed up with all the fixins. She was hungry and thirsty.

God, what a load off! Next one's not due for awhile.  lw
