I work with rough lumber everyday but I never guessed the beauty that these segmented bowls bring out. The Koa reflects the light like jewels. I'm amazed and forever indebted. Thank you.

This bowl is so beautiful. I can't thank you enough. Is it Red Beech and Koa? If so, my investors in New Zealand will want to give you a job.  8)

Is that walnut at the top and oak on the bottom?

Glad you like the bowl Den. The top rim is walnut and the bottom is honey locust. It has 5 coats of wiping oil and then
buffed out and waxed. I sure do like the way Koa and Beech turns.

Shopteacher it has all ready got me. I haven't done any
saw mill work or furniture making now that i have two
lathes. I sure do injoy turning and plan on gitting into
making some with inlays.

Worrying about Sawwood's turning addiction now is a bit late, that horse left the barn a while back.
