Have y'all noticed that the General topic has been accessed (posted in) almost 28000 times and the Sawmill and Milling topic almost 26000 to date?

Man!   That's a lot of visiting.  ::) :)

Did you know that there are other "popular" forums who don't get that kind of access in their whole forum, much less in a certain topic within it.

I sure enjoy you guys and I guess that these numbers show that there are a lot of mutual feelings throughout. 8)

Yup!  And there are 79,600 posts on here, and you can still go back and read all of them. Boy, that'd take a while! :o

Oops, make that 79,601. ;D :)

There is a good chance we will break our monthly record again, even with this being a short month. depends on how many folks visit today and tomorrow. I'll post a graph if we do. :)

Talked with a few people at the OLC, they will most likely be coming on soon.

One in particular is interested in becoming a sponsor. Said he will be coming on Monday. (When he returns home)

Congratulations on your success!

Every forum or site tends to develop a "personality" & the healthy ones are described with terms such as courteous, helpful, friendly, treated with respect, & good tech knowledge.

Forums with problems tend to have individual members who make posts that are disrespectful, demeaning, and of a combative nature.

The old adage "1 bad apple spoils the whole barrel" applies to this situation & the entire forum is in daily turmoil.

No such problems on Forestry Forum.  Keep up the good work!

Alota smart people here willing to take the time to explain anything ya need to know. I think that  the best part is that people can offer their opinion without durning a topic into a brawl.  I think alot of that comes through experience and age. Those that have been around the block a time or two tend to have a better outlook on things and are willing to discuse things rather than argue about them.  Being a relatively young guy that started with sawing a year ago, I would like to think that I am a whole lot wiser (but definatly not smarter) because fo the knowledge and information I have picked up on this site. For instance, I had never even heard of a timber frame before I came to this site, but will be starting one (albight a small one) this summer.  I owe alot to the everyone who has directly or indirectly helped by sharing your, knowledge, wisdom, bad humor, and cooking advise. Without it, I would have made many more mistakes than I thusfar have.

« Reply #30 on: March 31, 2004, 01:00:47 pm »
July must have been too hot.  Then everyone just got more and more lazy, and the next thing you know, nobody was cutting down any trees because it was just too much work.

Soon, this lazy epidemic grew explosively out of control, taking only a minor slowdown for Christmas shopping because our wives made us go.  But, as soon as that was over, the forum inmates got back to busy...er, I mean lazy, and it has just gotten worse ever since, with no slowdown in sight.

Naaahhhh.  Made a good story though.

Very impressive growth.  The only thing I know that is growing faster is my waistline.  Leaving for Montreal tomorrow on a working vacation.  My boss likes to eat.  The food is really good in Montreal.  My pants may not take the strain.

So many trees, so little money, even less time.

If all this posting and all the views of our website keep going /\ I may have to quit my real job and get one that pays me to surf the net! Oh well, we ahve a great site because we're such friendly people and the atmosphere is so nice here that people want to look at our site. I dont think it can hurt to brag about having a nice site that has so many people visiting daily. Its a side effect of having a clean site with no dirty language and all that garbage, we have no potty mouth and therfore people want to visit our site because its so nice and we are helpful people here. Theres no way I could imagine this site being any better than this unless we started giving away free $$$$ to everyone just for joining. In any event I love the way the forum is now, keep it going guys.
Let there be saws for all mankind!
