A couple of weeks ago Dad and I installed a skylight ceiling in the solar kiln. This is supposed to help the kiln warm up faster and also reach higher temps. I have monitored the temps so and have found that the temps will stay higher overnight. Also the temps warm up faster and will get higher with less amount of sunlight.
The picture was taken just after we got done working on the ceiling and put in a small batch of lumber. We had to go to another farm and bring more back to finish the load.
