I'll be wearing my Lions knit cap and be rooting for who ever happens to be behind at any given point in the game.  :)

Pregame story:

Back in my single mom days, I turned myself into a two income family by working weekends at a local truck stop as a waitress.  Breakfast shift 5AM to 2PM.  The owner/cook was an avid Eagles fan, and my team was always the Giants.

The two of us got into betting mood for an upcoming game, and since at that time, the Eagles had lost to the Giants NINE games straight, I thought it seemed a pretty sure thing to take his bet.  He said he didn't want money, but he wanted the loser to wear the winners team hat while working the next shift at the diner.  Of course, the Giants lost that game, and when I went to work, he handed me an Eagles cap that had a nine volt battery tucked up under the brim, and a flashing Eagle logo.

I got two things that day at work, a banging headache from the nine volt battery pressing into my upper brow, and a marriage proposal.   :D

LOL  Good story, Roxie.  Did you become an Eagles fan?  ;D

I'm rooting for the Giants, mainly because I don't like the Patriots.

I've got Ribs coming out of the smoker at 5:30pm, hot wings coming off the grill at the same time. All kinds of chips and dips, homemade pies and sweet tea with lemon.

Who's playing? Who cares!  :D :D :D :D :D

Maybe its just me, but I thought Madonna's performance was pathetic. Long on theatrics; still cant cover up the fact she can't sing.

The half time show was a bit much, the game was a lot better. One of the best Super Bowls I can remember. I wasn't sure the Giants D could stop Brady, he put on quite a show on the mid game drives for TD's.

Was that Stevie Wonder up there with her?

With all the money they get paid to do the halftime show they could at least sing and not lip-sync Why pay big bucks when anyone could mouth the words.

I watched my first super bowl came from start to finish. Sorry to see the Pats not come out of it with a new ring. Not a big sports fan. Just a fan of my land.
