Welcome Dustin. Been doing the same thing for along time. ;D
I have a friend in Wv with a lt40 super that I get to visit sometimes
and hoping to get to meet Lud who lives close by.But being a truck
driver on the extra board I don't get much time to do anything.
Thank goodness for the FF app on the smartphone :)

Welcome Dustin. You are at the right place. Will you have your own log supply, or how is that side of your equation balanced?

Dustin, it all starts with a dream.  I had a similar dream a few years back and the fine folks on this forum offered some wonderful help and advice.

Check it out here: http://www.forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,1400.msg747261.html#msg747261

Welcome and good luck!  8)

you've come to the right spot!  The forum here is better than college.  The professors here talk to you because they truly want to help people like you, and me.  I've learned just about everrything that I know about milling either from the forum here, or from people that I've met on the forum and later met in person.  I don't know much yet, but i have been able to produce some nice lumber with their advice.  You will never find better quality instruction from better people anywhere else.  I can't hardly comunicate how gratefull I am for all of the great info that I've learned here.
I've got a lot to learn
