« on: February 05, 2012, 08:56:05 am »
Have been searching a bit on here and I know someone came up with a bracket that welds to the backstop and then a rod to a hyd cyl, Maybe it was a cad drawing?? The brain is in slow mode today ::)

sam, there are 3 different mods. Bibby came up with a way to couple the 2 center backstops to the outside ones on a mill that already has hydraulic backstops. I think this is available as an option on new mills. The pineywoods mod adds hydraulics to the backstop on a manual mill as part of a home made hydraulics upgrade. Lastly there is a simple mod to couple the backstop on a bed extension to the mill backstop. All 3 are posted in the sawmills and milling forum. Do a search.
