Oak Flooring question

Can anyone tell me what cuts they make for back relief on oak flooring?  width?  depth?  how far apart?  Thanks

i know the maple here in my house (1960's)  1 3/4 wide 3/4 thick has 2 groves , 1/8 deep, prob  1/8 wide

I am a hardwood floor installer. In most of the wood I install there is 2 releif cut each measuring about 1/4 inch deep and 1/2 inch wide.
