Good morning everyone. I just registered on here. I've been reading the forum's for a while now during my slow time here at work and love all the info and chit chat.

Ill be buying a new to me band mill pretty soon, haven't decided on manual or hyd yet tho. I've been around several hyd mill's and have had lots of lumber milled. My dad and uncle used to saw tie's up a long time ago and built a homemade circle saw mill with parts salvaged from an old taffy factory. We built 3 houses with that mill and i live in one of the houses now. Where i live out in the woods there are allot of fallen pines and hardwoods that the foresters will let you harvest and also allot of timber that has fallen in the creek behind my house.

Anyways, just wanted to say hello to everyone.

welcome to the forum, you'll find that this forum will be very helpful when looking at mills there are so many members with sawmills you will be sure to find someone[or many people] who own the mill your interested in, and they will be able to tell you everything to look for...
