50 years ago on Veteran's Day, 5 of us got a pass and drove from Ft. Jackson, SC to Washington DC and watched President Kennedy lay the wreath on the Unknown Tomb.

1961 was a long time ago.  There have been many bridges crossed and many lessons learned.  Just the process of building memories.

JFK was the only President that I have ever seen in person.

Lynn, I didn't realize you were a veteran. I'm glad I got to spend the day with you sawing lumber.

Thanks to all who are veterans. It is a different world when you are, and one I would not think twice of doing over again.

I was in VF-31 on the USS LINCOLN when President Bush came out and announced "the end of hostilities" in Iraq.

Thanks to all the vets former and current. Having served in nam myself I seem to take a lot more pride in serving then I used too. Like so many on here I think all of us would do it again.  CLL
