Thanks, Jeff.  It's nice to have those features back. But you really should be taking care of yourself, rather than us.

You probably would have run into it long before now if this was the problem, but how good is the screen on your computer? Years ago friend had headache problems that first occurred after several days in a row of extended sessions on his computer. He at first thought it was a posture/ergonomics thing. It turned out it was something to do with his CRT-style monitor -- something about the refresh or flicker rate. He didn't really notice it when looking at the screen, but it turned out he was somehow sensitive to that barely perceptible flicker.

Once the problem started, it didn't take as much computer use to kick it back up again. A switch to a new monitor cleared up the problem. I don't know if the non-crt screens most folks are using these days have a similar thing or not.

Look for the extras link now in the menu bar.

Hurray!   8)

But things come up a little out of order.  Tools link with tools ok,  but Knowledge Base comes up with the dictionary and the dictionary comes up with the Knowledge Base.  Forum Auctions don’t come up with anything.

Jeff has mentioned that glitch a few times, and has been aware of it. Sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes a bit longer. Happened before the changes and continues after.

Sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes a bit longer.

And sometimes it is more than 45 minutes!  >:(

that leaves you with 23.25 hours that it aint a problem. Believe me, I've spent countless nights while everyone else is in bed trying to figure out why it is doing that.

Then takes me another 2 hours to get there.  ::) ::)

I wouldn't loose too much sleep over. But it sure is strange. I know it can eat a man in the side like thorn until he finds out what's happening.

I'm usually up until midnight this time of year because I put wood in, so I have to sit here half a sleep for a bit before retiring. :D

And now it's time for a little nap. :)

I briefly looked into this and discovered some things that reduced the times and duration.  Just been exceptionally busy lately and haven't had the time to finish investigating it.  As you can see, Jeff is fully aware of the problem and we are continuing to look into it.

Yesterday I hired an expert in mysql database configuration and server setup with funds earned from things I've been sellling on the Forum auctions. Last night he found several things that were pretty out of whack and made some changes. Tonight/this morning at 1:00 eastern time will be our first big test to see if the changes and adjustments do far made a difference.

Is any one else have issues with the Forum web page (non-mobile) having changed its sizing on the screen?  Both here and at work, I can no longer read the posts without shifting the screen back and forth to the right and left.  I have adjusted my preferences to accomodate this, but I don't understand what happened.

No other web sites seem to be running of the right hand margin.  Is this something new with the web site adjustments discussed above, or is it just me.  Is this a new yooperism and did I just get caught?? :D :D

Nothing has changed on the forum, but I bet you acquired some sort of typing pattern that tripped a shortcut to zoom the page on both machines.  Check your settings under view for firefox and IE  make sure you are at either normal, or 100%

Funny, I've been on the FF way into the night many times lately, and I never saw the issue you've mentioned.  ??? Maybe I'm just special.
