Well, I guess I was just a bit to cocky for a guy with just a cellphone modem.  It went well, then it didn't So, after a lengthy restore, we are back to square one, minus a few posts made while the upgraded site was working.  I won't try again until I have broadband connection . Learned a lot though, plus lost a nights sleep. Time to sleep. I dontthink I'll be going hunting in the morning. :)

If you ain't livin on the edge you are takin up way to much room. Of course at my age if I get too close to that edge any more theres a good chance I may fall off.

Give him a little time.  He's in the boonies of the Upper Peninsula, away from his home, updating the forum with a fancy cell phone.  Even when he's home, it doesn't happen instantly.  It's a pretty big job.    ;)

Looking pretty nice Jeff.

Any idea when the "Toolbox" will be functional?  I use it all the time to determine log weights, bd footages, etc.

Thx.

Jeff -

I'm noticing that the look varies from one sub-forum to the next.

"Forestry and Logging" and "Chainsaws" show up all larger print and bold faced topic titles (whether they've been read or not).

"Forest Education" shows up in smaller print, but still boldfaced titles.

"Ask the Forester" Shows up in the larger font, but the topic title is only bold-faced if the topic is a "sticky" (and maybe if it's unread?? I can't remember, now that I've read the topics in it).

this is not meant as a complaint. I know you are still working on things. Just thought I'd point out some things I'd noticed.

Jeff, the Collaborative thread does not have a means to post a new topic, reply to a topic, or a notify button, and the modify button is still missing. I have also noticed at times the forum is really slow in processing the pages. I thought it might be the system I'm on at first, but other sites are loading super fast. I tried clearing my cache as well, thinking something stuck in there after you made changes might be slowing down the loads. It did not. Has anyone else noticed a slow down in loading?

Please check the collaborated topics now.

The load times have everything to do with the current work being done, and the yet to be completed work. It will get better.

Load times have already vastly improved.  I figure when there is a slowdown, Jeff is actively applying stuff.
