That's a good moderate size saw, should last for years if properly maintained.

Just curious if it's a small mount saw?
I've got a 262xp (about 10 or 12 years old) takes a small mount bar.Seems like the 262 was the largest saw to use the small mount.I'm not sure if this is the correct term for it.
But,I also own a 395xp which is a different mount (large mount)
I twould have been nice to have them both the same.I use some specialized 21 inch bars for log building.

Does anybody have the original specs on this saw-cubes? hp?I have one but I got it used and am in the dark.Otherwise great medium size saw.

According to this, the power output was slightly higher than husky stated...  ;D

The 254xp is an excellent saw. You won't be dissapointed.
I run a 16" bar on mine, the saw just plays with it.
