Things I Miss
« on: December 24, 2003, 08:56:45 pm »
Just thinking about the things I miss at christmas.  I miss shopping for toys with almost no money over the years, and then putting together bicycles, tricycles, big wheels, swing sets, carefully oppening the boxes and putting batteries in the toys and boxing em back up, bb-guns, dolls, stuffed animals, games, puzzles, lincoln logs, blocks, fixing up and painting old go-cart, my youngest son when he saw that he could finally ride a bicycle, he didn't even know they made a three wheeled bicycle, (he's not crippeled it's just his right side don't work so good) and then seeing the look on my childrens face and the way their eyes'd light up when they wake up on christmas morning.  They're too old, at least in their minds for such things now.  Doesn't mean I'm too old to remember.

SasquatchMan, enjoy it while ya can, they grow up awfully fast.  Now I've had a great christmas, can't complain, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss when they was little.  Especially on Christmas morning.

This is the first year Patty and I have spent Christmas* day home by ourselves. We opened gifts last Saturday when my oldest was home on leave. Isn't the same as when they were little. I do miss those days.
