I passed this today. He is going to make a skidder happy, but I'll bet his billfold wasn't.

That trailer is at least 6' and probably 7' wide. Those 4 tires had his truck weighted down in the rear, and they were NEW.

yea skidder tires are expensive 18.4s for my C5 are $800 to $1000

Look at the hood.

Jeez, a guy can't do anything but drive any more. A series of sneezes is more dangerous then taking a picture. Just having a kid in the car is more dangerous then taking a picture.

Yup, about maybe 15 MPH. We were both slowing down for an intersection. I pulled in behind him and we both ended up at Home Depot. I was still looking for a replacement brush, but settled for epoxy instead.

Driving down the road with skidder tires on that trailer was the true distraction to guys like us.

the cheapest rubber i can find for my skidder is 3500 a pop for 24.5 x 32 ,the way i look at it is if the y hold air and i can get my chains latched on were not getting new tires. 1 set of chains will go where 4 new tires cant. i have a new set of chains coming next week.i am going to put them up front and take my old ones home and refurbish them and put them out back.

We just brought 4 sets of 30.5 20ply Firestones into stock mounted on 14 lug John Deere rims. 2 sets are new 2 are slightly used. They will go for around $4,000 each and that is minumal mark up. I sell them and i agree its rediculas. We dont stock tires to make a profit we carrie them to help customers so they come back for equipment but even cutting all profit out of them still hurts the wallet.

18.4-34 forestry specials are close to $2,000. The pictured tires look bigger than 30.5's. Maybe 35.5's? My tire guy says ttire prices go up every month. II bought a pair of 18.4 34 Forestry Specials @ 80-90% ffor $1,300 a couple years ago. New ones were $1,700 each. I was happy as a pig in youknowwhat.

The logger that just completed the SYP first thinning on some of my leased property had to haul it 165 miles to the paper mill. $:-\$ I'll bet it takes him more than 50 loads.
