Proud of my Spouse
« on: December 02, 2003, 06:51:01 am »
Becky got an early Christmas present.
See an excerpt from a Nov. 25th announcement.
For me, this translates as,
"A Hydraulic Mill is closer in the future"   ;D ;D
It also translates into the fact that Jeremiah and
I will have to improve our cooking skills.

Way to go Becky!

We are pleased to announce the
promotion of Becky White to replace
Wes Hohulin as Market Development Consultant
in the Global Pleasure Craft Division.
In this role, Becky will be responsible
for leading Caterpillar’s worldwide
pleasure-craft marine market presence.
Specific responsibilities will include:
New Product Introduction support,
competitive analysis, pleasure-craft
product expertise, and North American marketing,
promotion, and trade-show support.

I hope this doesn't mean more time away on the road.  It is probably not advisable to leave the boys alone for too long :D

OWW,
I didn't look at it that way.  We can buy lots of new
toys while she is traveling.     8)  She will be attending lots
of boat shows worldwide.

Thanks .  Sounds like you got a nice family
that you are real proud of.  Our one and only
son is 14 a freshman in high school.

Jeff,
She will still shop at goodwill...  Once a farm girl,
always a farm girl.  Heck, she will even pitch in
and help other forum members milk the cows.
Isn't that right Bro. Noble?
Now if I could only get her to run the LT15 while I
pull boards...   :D :D :D

When I asked her if we could get a boat now,
she answered with a resounding no and said
that boating was her business not her pleasure.
I guess I should consider myself lucky that I've got
the John Deere and the LT15.  ;D
Besides, I don't know of anyone who drowned while
running a sawmill.  Harold's son has had some
close calls around water with gators though. Yikes!

Way to Go Becky!   8) Since we are all one big family here, I can say that we are ALL very proud of you indeed.

BTW, I love shopping at Goodwill, you meet the coolest people there, and I simply can't pass up a bargain when I see one. :)    And the stuff you can find there....it is always a treasure hunt. Way more fun that Walmart. ;)

Patty,
Thanks.. Stop by some time if you are in Peoria
and you and Becky can check out Goodwill in
Peoria.  Goodwill is actually located in a building
which used to be a CAT dealership. Right on U.S. 150
on the west side of Illinois River.

Chet,
Thanks... I am sure proud of her and she is really
a great wife and Mom.
 I hadn't thought about the
tractor thing.. That's a great idea!  8)
Right now I am just working on the boat thing
and I would settle for a little 16 or 17 foot aluminum
boat so I could use a 10 hp outboard that I obtained
when my father passed away in 1998.  :D

Thanks also C5,   I would love to see some of your
old tractors in person some day. A few years ago
I enjoyed going to the Old Threshers Reunion
in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

Perry, when you go to the cabin you pass within 10 minutes of Corley5's old iron mega museum.

Congratulations to Becky!  8)

I really think you need a different tractor in your driveway.  You should support the company that supports you.  Get a Cat Challenger to park in front of your garage!  ;D

Mboy and OWW,

I take a lot of flak at work because
the dealer that I bought the JD tractor
from in Morton, Illinois gave my a lightweight
green jacket with a JD logo on it and I wear it
to work in the fall.
