splitfire firewood splitter
« on: June 30, 2010, 07:36:37 am »
upgraded to a processor and dont need the splitter anymore. it is a 290-4, that was the model# when i bought it, the current model is a 4409? new ones right now go for $4600 canadian, which they tell me is about $4000 american. asking $3200.
9 horse honda, 2 way wedge, 4 way wedge, works great and is a fast splitter, splits with the ram going both ways. paint is a little faded, but has no mechanical issues, i hadnt used it in months and got it out yesterday and it started on the first pull.

ARGH! ;D  If I didn't just buy a new soapstone stove 2 days ago (and you weren't so far away) I would have been all over this!  I would LOVE one of those splitters!  This is a great splitter that I've been looking for a long time, just bad timing.  Good luck with it.
