Ironwood, I have often thought an old propane tank trailer like you have, might work well as a log arch.   Nice job.  I have never seen a used one for sale around here.

Nice tree too. 8) 8)

Nice tree Reid.......and trailer! Ours are almost dead ringers.  I just love mine.   I finally blew one of the hydraulic cylinders.  Not sure how it happend.  Even bent the shaft.  If I were to guess I put it all the way up against the steel saddle two hard.  Not sure.  I had the shaft straightened up and put new seals in and it works fine now.

I love the look of that log hanging out the back end. :D  How long did you leave it for travel?

I only had that big oak on mine for going accross town.......maybe 90 min total on the trailer.  It was 4'-6" dia on the big end and 4' 3" or so on the smaller end.  It barely cleared the axel stubs on the way up and it was all the hydraulics could do to lift it.

Be sure and show us the crotch wood on the BW!

I may make a "double" from two other trailers  ;D  8000 + 8000= 16000 lift :o I'll need to think about box tube side rails. I have one other one here and the third is "coming" as soon as I go get a look at it.  Adventures in woodworking  :D
