Stihl 090 clutch
« on: October 18, 2003, 07:33:33 pm »
hopefully someone can help me with this
I have a 090 powerhead on my Peterson mill. One of the clutch springs has broken. Now I've got the locking screw in spark plug hole, and have got the nut off the end of the shaft and the springs and clutch pads are out...
Now the manual just says take the rest of the rest of assembly apart, but the sleeve and clutch seem to be bound solid ???
Do I need to get a small gear puller in there and ease it out? or is there an easier way?

Thanks
   Ian

Ian, you'll most likely need a puller and a dab of the Reaper.

Thanks Kevin
Gave the thing a good soaking in "toolbox in a can", left it overnight and was able to get gear puller on it and ease it out  :)
