Stihl Saw Model???
« on: October 18, 2003, 12:14:04 pm »
I recentley bought an older stihl saw from a local pawn shop for 10$ and I need to get a part for it.  It is not getting a spark.
The top plate where the model name is located is worn off so I dont know exactly what I have.  The seriel number is 4537730  and it has a 20 inch bar. Any help in this matter would be greatly helpful.

Thx

There are a multitude of saws and parts out there.
The best I can suggest is to take it to a local Stihl dealer to get the model and maybe an estimate on repairing it.

You can also contact Stihl directly through their website - but I also think you might as well take it to a dealer, since Stihl has such a limited internet sales policy.  Also, a good dealer can save the headache of ordering a part, waiting to weeks, and finding out it's the wrong part... :)
