Well actualy we got 2 moose,  ;)
Being part of a group of seven makes my share fit well into my freezer, My nephew is the other one that got the other moose 45 minutes before me...I'll know by tomorow a.m. what they wheigh in at we'll be bringing(?) them to the butcher . My guess is 450 lbs on the hook each.
As far as them being good with grits I have no idea ,but from what I have read on grits .... I would not hesitate to include moose with it on the menue ;) :)
Would one be so kind as to tell me what grits are? ???

Nooooooooooooo,  too cold for me. I had all that cold stuff I wanted, when I was a Northerner. Ya gotta put 'em in dry ice, when ya ship 'em. ::) ;D  Nice thing about them Grits. No need to keep 'em cold. They do just fine as is.

Had some Gooood Grits in Ga. Mmmmmmm

Grits is sent from Heaven, IF they is cooked right. Nice and creamy, with NO bitter after taste. White corn is best for Grits. ;D

OBOY, it's fall, time for another round-o-grits.  Someone needs to post a link or two to our last outbreak. We went on for weeks it seemed like. Grits with cheese. Grits with hot sauce and cheese. Grits with ham'n'eggs'n'red-eye gravy (o, too yum..)

Just every bit as good as huevos rancheros- in fact I'm purt sure last time I went off the deep end and served up some grits next to some refried beans and covered it all with cheese and salsa. It's a mixed metaphor but grits is as good as rice anyhow..

DanG- it's after 10pm and I'm supposed to be SLEEPING, not thinking about food, Now my belly's growling and I'm wondering if there is a package of grits in the cupboard.  ::)  lw

We used to raise corn to feed hogs and cattle.  Made a lot of hominy.  Thought we would clean up one of the old 'Letz' mills that you saw and have our own cornmeal.  Ever had rust flavored cornbread? :-/
