Mitch, It sounds like you have a big family tradition of being around sawmills. I am still trying imagine what 8,000 board feet would feel like at the end of the day. I dont have anyone in my family tree that has been in the sawmill dust so I am the first, my dad tried but he got sick and it took me 20 years to finally have the time to re-awaken the dream , it sure is fun !

Mitch like the band brake . You are right it was wound a little tight but I could not wait to try the mill out. After a few mounts of welding and building things I wanted to cut a log .Now that I got it working I can build a power receder ,log turner,live deck and air dogs I even rember Jeff said to use a air drier which I have since found . One piece at a time. :)
