Thanks for the replies. To give ya'll a better idea of what I'm doing, this is for a pellet mill that I started about 2 years ago. I recently got everything running pretty good, but the chip price around here has gotten high enough that I'm planning buying pulp wood and doing my own chipping.
The biggest thing I'm trying to figure out is the best way to debark. I was thinking that a rosser head might not be fast enough since I'll be running a lot of small stuff thru. Also thought about a drum debarker, but they are usually so big that I'm not for sure if that would be the way to go either.
Seems like a flail might be good for what I'm trying to do but, dosen't seem like anybody makes a smaller one for the production level that I need. Everything that I've seen is for big production and that puts them out of my price range. Looks like building my own might be the best way to go if I do go with a flail.
Anybody have any other ideas?
Tim
