Forestryforum.com mentioned on T.V. for a POEM??
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:24:51 am »
Yup. :D

This morning I had the local T.V. news on. Every morning they have a viewer participation question or poll or something. I've been on there once before with my dog poop camping story. (probably never told here).

This morning they wanted you to complete the poem:

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue

Well, I saw this at 8:40 and they were going to read the submissions at 8:55. Almost instantly my cynical self thought  Roses aint always red, and threw a poem together and sent it in at 8:51. I forgot to put in my Town as they ask, just my name.  I told Tammy what I did but said it was probably to late. As it turns out. It wasn't. :)  Mine is at the end.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
That's what they say
but its not always true

Some violets are purple
some roses are pink
some will be fragrant
while others may stink

Some little poems
need updating at times
don't be the one
who gets in a rut with your rhymes
