E classic reaction chamber
« on: January 09, 2010, 06:28:44 pm »
When I look in reaction chamber blow torch flame is not there.Only when I open the damper or firebox door and close it does the flame appear, then fizzles out.Seems like lack of air,all air holes open, fan and solenoids working, even took off solenoids and put jet vac into tubes and blew them out. I would think that blow torch flame would be there whenever fans are running. Ideas?

Do you have a good coal bed in the upper firechamber?

Is the boiler able to get to set temp?
If it is, then it is working, but maybe coals were not hot enough for you to see flame.

I think taking out the solenoids and blowing the jet vac into the tube worked! Must have had a blockage in the air hole I couldn't see.Went to 1' last night and the furnace ran fine.
