TJ    I have not posted much. Been lurking occasionally. Life throws curves once in a while. I had a major accident with a chainsaw couple months ago. Cut half way through my leg just above my knee. It has been healing well , I am hoping for a full recovery. Last week we found out that the wife has a brain tumor. More testing in order before they give us a plan. Had to go to Chicago to get a diagnoses. With all of this I did manage to saw a few boards out.  ;D Still working on the mill a little at a time. Hoping to get at it some tomorrow.
The barn was all sawn by member Kevin H. Think it was about 48x40. Have had a few thoughts about living in one like it myself. If I was doing one again would let the lumber sticker for a few months to cut down on the shrinkage. Some of the gaps were as big as 3/4 inch. The plans were purchased and then completely altered by myself. I do have the original plans somewhere. Great looking mill there. Don't get burnt out it will get there.  Loren

Hoofer, gosh darn you have had a rough time lately.  Glad the leg is getting better.  I pray your wife will be okay.  Hang in there fella.
I built my own band mill with the help of Forestry Forum.

Looks like it got chilly down south. :D                                                             Well good news here found out yesterday the wife does not have a tumor. Good news , but back to the drawing board.
Hope to get some work on the mill done. It just keeps sitting there and nothing changes. ;D
TJ that mill looks close to a trial run , is it?

Thanks for the reply TJ.

Myself, i have a DIY bandmill head, unfinished project from someone here in France. It's sitting in my front yard, till i gather all the parts. So, swing mill is for "one day" in the future. Dreaming of a electric hewing machine too.  ;D

Here is the updated remote control box for my swingmill.  I replaced the felt pen labels  with the graphics you see below.
