U of Fl videoconference Farm Ponds, etc.

I have had the pleasure, in the last year or so, of associating myself with a fine young man who holds the title Forest Stewardship Coordinator, SFRC,  Chris Demers.  Chris is a hardworking ally of Forestry and Forestry Education. I met Chris by chance and have enjoyed his openness, as well as his willingness to provide programs to the Tree Farmers and Stewards of Florida.  He is trying to make available educational material, as well as work shops in an affordable and easily accessable venue.  It's not an easy task.  Florida is a large state with varying ecosystems and economics, but he has the backing of the University of Florida IFAS and is mandated to success.  It's an association that I've thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to many more years of his efforts

In this post, you will find a series of videos that were recently shown in a videoconference throughout the State.

They are presented by:

Program Introduction, FloridaInvasives.org brief , Chris Demers, UF-IFAS School of Forest Resources and Conservation (SFRC)

Be Ready to Apply, USDA Farm Bill Programs, Kenneth Morgan, Program Specialist, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

Division of Forestry (DOF) Assistance, Tony Grossman, Conservation Programs Manager, DOF

Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Assistance, Chris Wynn, Landowner Assistance Program Coordinator, FWC

Assistance with Farm Ponds, Chuck Cichra, Professor of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, SFRC

Tom - thank  you for that fine connection to the University of Florida video-conference.  The additional connections to other websites were also valuable.  Some of them were specific to issues in Florida, but some had more general application, including western North Carolina mountains, where I live.  Many thanks
David Larson
