« on: November 29, 2009, 08:24:16 am »
Well its taken about two weeks of welding ang cutting in the shop every night but I got it done. Most of it is made from 3" 1/4 wall sq tubing with some pipe for added suport. Going to try to put it to work today. I was forced into building one because wost of wy logs are going to have to cross the road(town does not like when people drag across there blacktop :(). more pic's to come
thanks Sam

Wow, good job.  And it looks like you painted it to match the WM and chainsaws..... :D

  • Best way to make the most money with a portable mill is to cut the least lumber you can.

How about some side shots, looks like a fairly interesting top bar.

Thanks all for the positive coments. I used it today and was very surprised on how well it worked. Hauled 6- 20" x 16'long hemlocks to the mill and the nice thing about it was logs were clean. I will post some side pictures and some close-up on how the winch works to rise the log in the back and then to rise the front. As to the color it is valspar kubota orange that I got at tractor supply (is real close to WM orange ;D)
thanks Sam
